30.06 Trailhead
The 30.06 Trailhead is located just east of Pleasant Hill Dam. Look for a parking area on the west side of the dam and a few one-off places on the east side.
The parking area is directly on the west side of the dam, although there are a few one-off spots on the east side.
Chill Rides
30.06 can be as chill or as challenging as you want to make it, depending on whether you choose to tack on extra miles and trails. But the 30.06 out-and-back on its own is a great short, relaxed ride that still provides a decent workout. Starting at the dam is a nice option, too.

The Mohican Lodge and Conference Center is just down the road, offering a convenient place to stay with easy access to the trails.
Plenty of Parking
The trailhead has plenty of parking in a gravel lot, making it an easy place to meet up, unload bikes, and start your ride.
River Access
The trailhead sits above the river, a favorite fishing spot for many. It’s also a great place to relax by the water before or after your ride.
Hiking Access
Hike to Big Lyons Falls from here. The trail winds through hemlocks before reaching the falls, and you can make it an out-and-back or continue on for a loop along the river.
Explore the Area
There’s plenty to enjoy around Pleasant Hill Dam. Explore nearby Mohican State Park hiking trails, watch for eagles, picnic by the water, or get out on Pleasant Hill Lake for boating, fishing, swimming, and other water adventures.
