Singletrack, Sunshine, and Stoke: Mohican Trail Jamboree Delivers
The day was crisp, but the sunshine—and more than 50 riders—made for a perfect turnout at our second annual trail jamboree at Mohican State Park. The trails were in excellent condition, and riders from across the state enjoyed shredding sections of the park’s 24+ miles of singletrack.
After the ride, everyone gathered to share pizza, a campfire, and great camaraderie. The event supports Mohican-Malabar Bike Club (MMBC) and their ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the trail system.
Recently, MMBC volunteers cleared more than 100 fallen trees to keep the trails open and safe for visitors—a huge effort requiring plenty of chainsaw fuel, equipment, and dedicated manpower.
One rider summed it up best: “You have beautiful trails. Thank you for introducing me to Mohican.”
A big thank-you goes out to our sponsors for helping make this year’s jamboree even bigger than the last: Stake’s IGA, Ashland Bike Company, YNOT Cycling & Fitness, Mohican Adventures, Trail’s End, and Holmes Performance.
Jamboree highlights included well-stocked aid stations, shuttle support, and guided rides tailored to different skill levels—ensuring a great experience for everyone who attended.
