Mohican State Park Visitor Center Sneak Peek

Members of the Mohican-Mountain Bike Club (MMBC) had the unique opportunity to attend an invitation-only tour of the highly anticipated Mohican State Park visitor center, which is set to open its doors in late summer of 2025. This multi-million dollar center is long overdue for the popular state park and will feature a spacious central exhibit area that will highlight the diverse wildlife found in the Mohican area, various recreation opportunities available for visitors, as well as history of the Mohican Memorial State Forest.

Main entrance to the visitor center.

There will be restrooms available for public use, a retail space for purchasing various items, as well as informal gathering places to relax and meet with friends. One neat feature that stands out is an indoor/outdoor fireplace paired with comfortable outdoor seating, perfect for socializing after a MTB ride.

Hikers and mountain bikers will appreciate the convenience of a water fountain equipped with a refillable water bottle station, making it easy to stay hydrated during their adventures in and around Mohican.

The new visitor center is conveniently located near the main campground entrance off of State Route 3, just south of Loudonville, Ohio.
