Looking for a longer ride with a mix of trail and pavement? This route starts and finishes at the Change House Trailhead, combining MTB trail with paved-road climbs and descents for a varied ride from start to finish.
The first couple of miles get your legs working with steep climbing and occasional rock gardens, setting the tone for a challenging and varied ride. Throughout the route, enjoy scenic forestry views as the trail winds through the surrounding landscape, with a mix of mountain bike trail and paved-road sections providing plenty of variety along the way.
As you near the end of the ride, you’ll have two options for the final mile: stay on the MTB trail for a little more singletrack or take the campground route for an easier return to your vehicle.
Riding during the warmer months? Make a quick stop at the campground store for an ice cream, cold refreshment, or souvenir before calling it a day.
Keep in mind that the first 8 miles of this route are bidirectional, so stay alert, ride in control, and be prepared for oncoming riders.
